Go Local Wednesdays – Loads of Treasures in Your Backyard

Last weekend a friend of mine and I went shopping through antique row on Orange Avenue and the surrounding area.  There are so many interesting finds throughout the stores along Orange Avenue.  Some of the stores are a little pricey but it’s a great area to find unique items for your home!

First we stopped in Washburn Imports which is known for the selection of exotic furnishings from across the world.  I found some beautiful antique locks for only $25.  We strolled to the other side of the road and I purchase this beautiful hammered metal tray for $9.59 at Déjà Vu Vintage Clothing on Orange Ave.  (image of tray in my living room)

A little further along we stopped for some much needed sugar energy at the Yum Yum Food Truck.  I think 6 cupcakes is a little much for two people – what do you think?!

Then we hit the mother load!

If you have not stopped in Elephant Walk Interiors in Orlando – this place is a must see.  At first glance the showroom is filled with exquisitely selected antiques and reproductions.  Then we were told there was another 11,000 sq. ft. in the back.  This warehouse is full of one of a kind décor for your home – prices are all across the board so don’t shy away thinking they only have high end pieces.  I could spend hours in this place!

You never know what you’re going to find in your local shops and small businesses…get out there and explore!   What are your favorite local spots to find unique home decor?
