Who Says There’s Nothing to do in Orlando? – Matisse as Printmaker Art Opening

In keeping with the recent post featuring the local bloggers from TheOrlandoan, we’re featuring a FREE event in Winter Park for this Friday’s Who Says There’s Nothing to do in Orlando post!

There is a free art opening featuring Henri Matisse this weekend at the Cornell Fine Arts Museum at Rollins College.  The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4th.  The museum is located at 1000 Holt Avenue in Winter Park.  For more information, call the museum at (407)646-2526.

Matisse is a major figure in art history.   He is known for his celebration of the female figure.  The exhibit, “Matisse as Printmaker”, at Cornell Fine Arts Museum at Rollins College features primarily Matisse’s women, from line drawings to etchings to woodcuts.

What will you be up to this weekend?
