Today is Earth Day!  A day the world holds events to demonstrate support for environmental protection.  I remember being a kid and watching cartoon specials on TV of simple tips my family could make that would instantly make an impact to help Mother Earth.  Tips like turn out the lights when you leave the room, start a backyard compost or recycle.  Those tips are still important and today there is even more we can do to soften our carbon footprint.

Tomorrow, Saturday, April 23rd at Lake Eola Park Vegetarians of Central Florida presents the 11th Annual Central Florida Earth Day.  There will be speakers, a dog costume parade, Education Corner and kid zone, plus live entertainment and 250+ Eco-Friendly vendors.  Admission for the event is free.  It’s family friendly and dog friendly.  For more information about this great event, click here.

Bring the whole family, enjoy celebrating Earth and learn new and innovative ways to keep  her clean!
