Who Say There’s Nothing To Do In Orlando? – Sanford Indie Market

Now I know that the focus of this blog is to tell you about Downtown Orland, but this week we are traveling just a little bit north to tell you about an upcoming event in Downtown Sanford.

Downtown Sanford is one of Central Florida’s best kept secrets. What once was a sleepy downtown area on the waterfront of Lake Monroe has become a playground of breweries, shopping (used bookstores and antiques with a smattering of new goods), and restaurants. The downtown district has become a destination location for people to have a day away.

One of Sanford’s latest spots for fun is Tuffy’s Bottle Shop and Lounge. Opened in 2018, the bar makes its own cider, has a vast variety of local craft beers for sale, and offers live entertainment and events. But why go into all this detail about Tuffy’s? I mean, it is a really cool spot.

But, since you asked…

Tuffy’s hosts a semiannual market called the Sanford Indie Market right on its front lawn.

This market has been host to over 100 vendors for its first two events. Anything you could possibly imagine from plants and coffee to local art and dog scarves. It’s a promised land of all things local, creative, and handmade. In addition to all of this goodness – there are food trucks and all sorts of libations just inside Tuffy’s.

The next market is coming up in just a few weeks. On Sunday, September 15th from 11a.m. – 5 p.m. you can shop to your little local-loving heart’s content, enjoy good food and drink, and a stroll on Sanford’s River Walk, too.

Have you ever been to Downtown Sanford? What’s your favorite thing to do while you’re there? The Paw Park is my personal favorite – pet all of the puppers.

Tell me what you think
