Go Local Wednesday: The Morse Museum of Art

The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art was founded in 1942 by Jeannette Genius Mckean. The museum houses the largest collection of work by Louis Comfort Tiffany who designed “jewelry, pottery, paintings, art glass, leaded-glass lamps and windows.” The Tiffany collection includes the restored Byzantine-Romanesque chapel interior that he designed for the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago! The museum also features pottery art along with 19th & 20th century American art.

Take a stroll around the museum and immerse yourself in all the beautiful art work. I’ve been to told that the collection of art glass is absolutely breath taking!
